Blackthorns Community Primary Academy in Lindfield, West Sussex has been ranked in the top ten schools in West Sussex, in a school league tables compiled by The Times.
The top ten schools were selected from the 222 primary schools in West Sussex based on pupils’ average scores in reading and maths, the percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, and the percentage of pupils achieving at a higher standard in reading, writing and maths.
Blackthorns scored above local and national averages in all categories. At 16% the score for pupils achieving at a higher standard in reading, writing and maths was the highest in the West Sussex top ten.
